  1. Feature - E-mail file creation integration

    The ability to add documents attached to emails into ODM. ODM would check a POP mailbox about once a minute to see if any new docs had been submitted. These would then need to be reviewed/authorized. Authorized documents would be added to a category/folder called "unclassified" with guests having read/write access. The admin would be able to rename the file, add description/comments before authorizing.

  3. Feature – Category View - display files assigned to category

    On the category view page, add a list of files that are assigned to that category with links to edit each file.

  4. Feature - Files - Add more date info

    Add more date info to files:

    • What is the date of the document was written
    • What is the date of expiry of the document (contracts, leases, etc)
    • Date fields should allow for year only, month & year only or full year, month and date. Sometimes not all parts of a date are known or relevant Using dates of this nature allow users to search for documents that are within a specified age, or older than x for archiving or other purposes

  5. Feature - Files - Notifications/Subscriptions

    Users should be allowed to subscribe to documents or categories and receive immediate or daily summary notifications of changes made to docs or category contents. That way they know what to read or what actions to take.

  6. Feature - Add a TAG feature

    Add a tag feature to files, similar to WP taxonomies or woothemes forum. Make sure it auto-completes.

  9. Use DB layer to support more databases

    More and more people are using PostgreSql instead of MySql. So it would be nice to support more than one database backend.

    Also from an developer standpoint it would be nice to design a system which is more flexible and isn't necessarily tied to one piece of software
