Upon DOC post, owner - radio button to require anyone wanting to checkout that DOC, ask permission.
Upon new DOC placement, the current perms are great, although not all DOCS should be open to everyone simply. Put a radio button for owner of DOC to require anyone who wants access, they need to send a DOC request for permission. And then the owner will have a double selection in an email, to allow or deny, subsequently sending a return email that opens the DOC to that client or simply denies with no need of explanation.

allow users to send documents to any user in any department. also giving them an option to accept receiving a document, commenting on it.

Allow saving to ODM from outside software
This plays into having an exposed API. Ideally, users would be able to save into the ODM repository directly from software like word processors, Adobe Acrobat Pro, OpenOffice, or whatever. Much of the information could be calculated on the fly, and what couldn't could be added by the user at save.

add image/svg+xml as standard document type
The Scalable Vector Graphic format is an XML-type text document that describes an image. SVG files scale beautifully whether to larger or smaller sizes and do so without fuzziness which occurs when resizing standard images such as GIF, JPEG or PNG files.
Therefore I recommend image/svg+xml be added to the predefined image types.

Authorization only by select users (Moderators)
Currently this ability is an Admin Ability, the problem is when someone adds a file he is automatically that records admin and can authorize it if he wishes. The ability of authorization should be available to a select group of user or Moderator or at least by authorization should be a different user from the author. Will help reduce the accumulation of clutter into the system/dbase.

Authorization failed ....
When an user uploaded any file after that admin is authorizing that file during the authorization its showing option to all users , while already an user uploaded that file. which means admin can authorized file to particular user who has uploaded only not for all.
