Automatic filing based on information in a specific location on a document
I work in a field where I can easily collect hundreds of pages of stuff, most of it meaningless (until its not, then it's critical all of a sudden), on people I support, I'm a medicaid case manager. I have a caseload of about 40 peeps. Every day I get or generate something that needs to be filed. The single greatest advantage of a Document management system is the automation that can be generated based on the content. Assuming that every document I generate has identifiers placed in a specific location (lower rh corner 1" x 2" for example) that can be coded to a specific folder will place things where I want them... alternatively a bar code kinda thing
