URL (web-link) to any document
Many systems use a URL (weblink) to a given document so that work instructions, drawings, etc are readily available to users who may not have email or ODM user credentials.
Could a file permission be added either as a default or by file to allow read only access to individual files without a login (if you know the link).
I suppose I could have a link directly to a file if I put them in the public http folder but as the documentation says this is not as secure. However then I'd be the only one able to tell others what the address is.

Actually, it sounds like maybe you want to have a non-publicly listed anonymous file? The anonymous feature is going to be done as an anonymous page that lists all anon files for view. But you just want to be able to email someone a link to the file for them to view without them having an account right?
