Maintain Documents versions along with revision history, to allow checking old documents before they were revised
Some documents are sent out to customers and may be used as a template, for example lets say i have some manuals / brochures/ technical specification sheets / drawings, which have already been sent to some customers or used for references, now if they are checked out and checked in with a revision ( say even a spelling correction), the old version of document may be required in future would be lost to new revision, it should be preferably optional, where you can select such document version to be maintained or not.
And the versions maintained this way would turn up in details page of document with default view or check out relating to latest version and option to select and download previous versions too.

Is Dharmil saying that they wish to have the previous document version or original be kept and then the changed version as well. I am not seeing that a previous version is available to view or checked out. If someone checked out the version and made changes that were incorrect or made for a customer specifically, than it is necessary to go back and see what the original version looked like and corrections made or changed for another customer...Is this avaliable in the current pay version?

Doesn't the File History information provide this?
