Add a new multi-upload feature that allows:

1) Multiple files to be uploaded from the Add screen
2) Multiple files to be uploaded from a folder on the server

Allow users to search all text in a stored document, especially in a PDF file, returning file and page number where found.

Allow the use of sub-categories

If your project looked as good as the website, you would be in better shape. The second I started using the demo, I was ready to get out. It didn't look like something I could trust to work and functions that I expected to be available just weren't there. (For instance, "cancel" when you decide not to add a new document after all.) Do you guys want some help?

Allow single sign on for my users.

An access log indicating who added/accessed/modified documents.

Inheritance of permissions from the containing folder/category, so that permissions don't have to be explicitly defined for every document.

The ability to add documents attached to emails into ODM. ODM would check a POP mailbox about once a minute to see if any new docs had been submitted. These would then need to be reviewed/authorized. Authorized documents would be added to a category/folder called "unclassified" with guests having read/write access. The admin would be able to rename the file, add description/comments before authorizing.

Implement and off-site backup system to allow administrators to send their files and database info to an off-site backup server.

Authentication of users via Active Directory/LDAP

Users should be allowed to subscribe to documents or categories and receive immediate or daily summary notifications of changes made to docs or category contents. That way they know what to read or what actions to take.

For example add file category field and remove date modified, file size. description etc...

Add more date info to files:

* What is the date of the document was written
* What is the date of expiry of the document (contracts, leases, etc)
* Date fields should allow for year only, month & year only or full year, month and date. Sometimes not all parts of a date are known or relevant
Using dates of this nature allow users to search for documents that are within a specified age, or older than x for archiving or other purposes

User-defined fields are excluded from the default "all" search type. It is not a true "all" search without them - and often, UDFs are far more important than the ones included by default. Please enable this feature.

add an anonymous feature to allow for anon viewing of files.

Add an icon to the out.php that will display an icon when an item is checked out. Otherwise, it is hard to tell why you don't have access to the file.

The ability to replace a document with another having a different filename.

It is good that we can choose to browse using a list that includes both Categories and User Defined Fields (UDFs). It would be great if we could browse by selecting multiple search criteria. For example a Category and a UDF... and another UDF... and another up to the number of UDFs that have been added. This would really help in finding documents.
